Hutchison Port Holdings CEO Chris Gray Confirms their Bid to Acquire The Shares of IDC LTD The Paren

In this streaming video, Hutchison Port Holdings CEO Mr. Chris Gray clarifies as fact that the Hutchison group has put in a bid to acquire the shares of IDC LTD in the Cayman Islands, the parent company of Port Group LTD & Grand Bahama Port Authority LTD. Mr. Gray also expresses how, if they were able to proceed, the manner in which they would conduct the affairs of Freeport as he utilizes words such as transparency, no conflict and more Bahamian ownership and participation.

Mr. Gray's speech covers numerous topics that all those with a vested interest in Freeport Grand Bahama would want to hear. Of great interest is his plea to the parties concerned who are in dispute:"For the sake of the future well being and success of this island, please find a speedy resolution." The Bahamas International Film Festival wrapped up its best year yet in December 2007. International filmmakers and stars were in attendance including Sir Sean Connery and BIFF awards recipient Daryl Hannah.

The Bahamas Weekly News Team brings you the next in a series of exclusive interviews from the festival, this time bringing a Bahamian flavour with two special interviews. The first interview is with Mr. Craig Woods, Bahamas Film Commissioner, who highlights some of the film projects in the works for the Bahamas and affirms the Governments support for the Film industry The second interview is with Kareem Mortimer of Mercury Rising Media, a young Bahamian filmmaker who touches on the challenges and rewards of working in the film industry.
